ANCILLARY & SUB-CONTRACT

The Ancillary & Sub-Contract Exchange division of
this Institute undertakes a number of activities
such as Vendor Development Programme (VDP) &
Exhibition for the development of Ancillary SSI
Units to assist SSI Entrepreneurs in promotion of
their products and to facilitate in marketing of
their products. These serve as an ideal common
platform for both the SSI units and large scale
units for meeting each others need. Such programmes
help to identify areas of common interest and to
forge linkages through Sub-Contracting and
Ancillarization so that the advantages enjoyed by
the Small Units in production, such as, lower over
heads, flexibility in production and ability to take
small orders etc can be combined with marketing
strength of large units and their adherence to
quality standards and capacity to take large orders
for mutual benefits. To mention a few, in all these
programmes large scale PSUs like Railways, All the
Defence Establishment, Oil Refinery PSUs such as
ONGC, State PSUs like MSRDC participated along with
the Private Sector majors like Mahindra & Mahindra,
Godrej, Crompton & Greaves. Vendor Development
Programmes are conducted at National Level &
International Levels also. |
